Cover Reveal!

Today is the day! I am absolutely thrilled to finally unveil the official, full cover for my debut psychological crime thriller, The Profiler’s Shadow, releasing on November 3rd, 2026, with the fantastic team at DarkWinter Press!

The Profiler’s Shadow introduces Mary Dubois—a transgender woman and brilliant former Sûreté du Québec profiler living in self-imposed seclusion in the freezing backwoods of rural Québec. When a brutal new case emerges that mirrors her own deepest psychological scars, Mary is forced out of hiding.

But Mary subverts every traditional genre trope. In a landscape where marginalized characters are too often relegated to victims or villains, Mary commands the room—turning her deep survival instincts and past trauma into her most triumphant, strategic weapon.

This book is incredibly close to my heart. I poured nearly 20-plus years of my lived roots in Sainte-Béatrix and the Lanaudière region into this manuscript. The quiet, bone-chilling isolation of those rural Québec winters isn't just scenery—it's a living character that forces Mary to confront her past.

Stating this out loud still gives me a flicker of imposter syndrome, but it is a verifiable, historic fact: this book makes me Canada’s only out transgender woman author of dark, queer psychological crime fiction. I wrote this because our community deserves complex, fiercely intelligent heroes who take back their power.

Thank you to my incredible publisher, my writing peers, and everyone who has supported me through the shadows and into the light.

Mary Dubois’s quiet life as a writer shatters when the Sûreté du Québec arrives at her door. A killer is staging gruesome tableaux in the Québec wilderness, and he’s left a message: he will only communicate with Mary. Mary, a former profiler, must leave her hard-won seclusion to hunt a monster who seems to know her every move and weakness.

Reunited with her ex-lover, Officer Teresa Cook, and confronting the open hostility of her old tormentors in the police force. Mary finds herself drawn deeper into a web of psychological warfare. The killer’s notes are not just clues, they are invitations into a shared, violent history she never knew she had. To stop the slaughter, Mary will have to turn her terrifying insight inwards to her own bloodline—before she becomes his final masterpiece…

Misty forest with bare trees and a path, silhouette of a person walking in the distance.
